Miqat Points
Miqat points are specific locations designated for pilgrims embarking on the Hajj or Umrah pilgrimage to assume the state of Ihram, a sacred state of ritual purity and consecration.
Ihram is a prerequisite for Muslims undertaking these pilgrimages, and it involves wearing special garments and adhering to certain restrictions and rituals.

There are five primary Miqat points, strategically located around the holy city of Makkah, in Saudi Arabia. These points serve as entry points into the sacred precincts, and pilgrims must enter the state of Ihram before reaching Makkah.

Muslims need to be aware of these Miqat points because assuming the state of Ihram is a crucial and mandatory step in performing the Hajj or Umrah pilgrimage.
